Domino’s Pizza is launching a Siri-like feature called “Dom.” Dom will let customers place orders by talking with a computer-generated voice. The updated app for iPhone and Android will offer a “human-like, conversational” experience.
Currently, mobile and online ordering accounts for around 40% of Domino’s U.S. sales. Growing this portion has become a priority for the company. After opening up the app, customers input their address and they are taken to the ordering page where they can push a button and order by voice.
The voice will ask if you want additional toppings or other items. Then you input your credit card information and get your pizza. Domino’s partnered with Nuance Communications to launch this service.
