Dropbox Acquires Audiogalaxy

Posted Dec 13, 2012

Dropbox has acquired Audiogalaxy, the music streaming service that used to be known for file sharing.  The P2P file-sharing service shut down in 2002 and then founder Michael Merhej founded FolderShare.  FolderShare was acquired by Microsoft and then was turned into Windows Live Sync.  Now that Dropbox owns Audiogalaxy, there is speculation that the company will be launching a music streaming service to complement their file storage services.
