Duolingo receives $20 million in funding

Duolingo is a language-learning company that has received $20 million in Series C funding led by Kleiner Perkins. Duolingo has now raised a total of $38 million thus far.

Duolingo plans on using the funding for hiring additional talent and improving their existing products to include more analytics and language options.

Duolingo launched in the middle of 2012 and created an app a few months later. Duolingo now has 25 million users and they are adding around 100,000 new users per day.
