Cloud security company Elastica receives $6.3M in Series A

Elastica is a cloud application security company that enables companies to leverage cloud applications and services while maintaining high security. Elastica Apps are available through their CloudSOC platform that offers cloud audit for Shadow IT, granular transaction visibility, and threat detection. Today Elastica has announced that they have received $6.3 million in Series A funding from The Mayfield Fund.

Elastica has a group of well-known advisors, such as Rayid Ghani, Chief Scientist of the Obama 2012 Campaign; Tom Reilly, former CEO of Arcsight and current CEO of Cloudera; M.C. Srivas, Founder of MapR; and Ion Stoica, Professor at UC Berkeley. Elastica was founded by Rehan Jalil. Jalil previously founded and led WiChorus.
