Kleiner Perkins Junior Partner Ellen Pao Gets Fired Following Lawsuit Against The Company

Ellen Pao is a junior partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers that was recently fired from the company.  Earlier this year, she filed a lawsuit against the company over gender discrimination.

“I have been terminated from my job at KPCB,” said Pao in an updated statement on Quora.  “On Monday afternoon, senior management told me to clean out my office, leave, and not come back.”

Back in June, Pao replied on the Quora thread that she was not planning on quitting KPCB following the lawsuit.  Pao filed a lawsuit against KPCB at a California Superior Court on May 10 and she alleges that she received five years of retaliation for pushing back against sexual advances from senior partners.  She said that the company discriminated against her and other employees when it came to pay and promotions as well.
