Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt has a new book coming out and he has taken numerous shots against China in it. The name of the book that Schmidt is working on is called “The New Digital Age” and it was co-written with Jared Cohen, the founder and director of Google Ideas.
Below is an excerpt from the book:
The disparity between American and Chinese firms and their tactics will put both the government and the companies of the United States as a distinct disadvantage…the United States will not take the same path of digital corporate espionage, as its laws are much stricter (and better enforced) and because illicit competition violates the American sense of fair play.
Schmidt and Cohen also criticized the use of the Stuxnet virus and other cyber-weapons developed in the United States as well. However the two emphasized that China is the “most sophisticated and prolific” hacker.
