Eric Schmidt, the Executive Chairman at Google, said earlier this week that Google CEO Larry Page is recovering from an illness that has affected his voice. He has been working at the office this week according to Schmidt. Schmidt was asked about Page while attending the Allen & Co. conference in Sun Valley. He said that Page did not attend because he would have been required to speak too frequently. ?Larry is doing much better?he seems fine,? said Schmidt. He added Page ran a meeting at Google?s headquarters on Monday and was able to speak softly. Page was unable to attend the Google I/O developer conference or the recent quarterly earnings call as a result of his voice loss.
