Google chairman Eric Schmidt has prepared a guide on Google+ with suggestions on how to switch from the iPhone to Android.
“Many of my iPhone friends are converting to Android. The latest high-end phones from Samsung (Galaxy S4), Motorola (Verizon Droid Ultra) and the Nexus 5 (for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) have better screens, are faster, and have a much more intuitive interface. They are a great Christmas present to an iPhone user!” said Schmidt on his Google+ profile.
Schmidt wrote 4 steps on how to switch from the iPhone to your Android device. He said to set up the Android phone by powering on the device, connecting to WiFi, and updating the Android version. Schmidt explains how to use iCloud to back up your contacts on iOS and then sync them your contacts through iTunes. The third step is to back-up your music collection through Google Music Manager. The last step is to take the SIM card out of the iPhone and insert it into Android.
You know that a chairman is passionate about his company’s products when he goes out of his way to prepare an online tutorial about how to switch over from a competitor.
