Evernote hits 100 million users

Evernote has hit 100 million users that take advantage of its note-taking apps. These users are spread across the core Evernote apps across various platforms. Skitch has 16 million users and Penultimate has 10 million users. Evernote acquired both of these apps in the last few years. Evernote has 35 million users in the Asia-Pacific region, 31 million in the EMEA region, 27 million in the U.S./Canada, and 8 million in Latin America.

?On the one hand, there are more than 100 million people whose lives have been touched, even a little bit, by something we made,? stated Evernote CEO Phil Libin in a blog post. ?On the other hand, there are still about 7 billion people who?ve never used any Evernote product. Both are pretty inspirational.?

Evernote spent very little on marketing since launching. It spent less than 1 cent per user, which is at under $1 million. Evernote’s valuation is estimated to be around $1 billion. Evernote has raised slightly over $240 million in venture capital firms altogether. Some of Evernote’s investors include Allen & Co., Meritech Capital Partners, and Sequoia Capital.

Evernote is not expecting to go public for at least another two to three years.
