Facebook and NBC have made a partnership to broadcast the U.S. GOP presidential debate before the primary next year. The debate will air as part of a special broadcast on NBC’s Meet the Press. The broadcast will be moderated by David Gregory. This will also be streamed on Facebook.
This Monday, users will be able to start discussions and post questions for the debate on the Meet The Press website or on the debate’s Facebook Page. Some of the questions will be answered live on the air.
Facebook first started covering the debates in 2008 when they partnered with ABC. Facebook users participated in Debate Groups and was able to view behind-the-scenes footage.
?Voters expect to be able to learn about and interact with candidates on Facebook,? stated Facebook’s VP of U.S. public policy Joel Kaplan.
