Facebook announced earlier this week that they acquired Microsoft Atlas Solutions. The company did not say how much they spent on the acquisition, but the price was rumored to be valued at around $100 million (CNBC). Atlas Solutions will help give Facebook better tools for their advertising network. Atlas Solutions will also help Facebook give businesses better feedback on customer interaction with ads even after customers leave the website.
“Today?s marketing environment is much more complex than it was just a few short years ago. Marketers and agencies struggle to understand how their efforts across different channels complement and strengthen each other. Consequently, they are forced to adopt siloed marketing strategies for each channel, leading to poor and inconsistent end-user experiences,” said Facebook in a press release.
