Colin is a lonely fifth grader in Richland, Michigan that told his mom Jennifer that there was “no point” in having a birthday party because he does not have any friends. Now he has over 1.5 million friends thanks to a Facebook campaign that went viral. Colin eats lunch alone in the school office because no one will set with him in the cafeteria. Jennifer created a Facebook Page called “Happy Birthday Colin” and it has hit over 1.5 million likes.

?I?ve been reading and catching up with all of the posts, messages and comments on this page, all the love and support is causing me to just cry,? said Jennifer on the Facebook Page.

Colin was diagnosed with a condition that is similar to Asperger’s syndrome. It is hard for him to detect facial expressions and verbal cues. He also has a sensor processing order so changes in light and sounds causes him to “melt down.”

?His peers don?t understand him but every adult who meets him loves him so I thought I would go to a place where adults and my friends are, Facebook, and have them write nice messages to Colin so I could share them on his birthday,? said Jennifer on Good Morning America. Jennifer also bought a P.O. box for the hundreds of people that want to send him a card.
