Facebook is going to be adding 100 new positions in Ireland as part of their plan to expand into Europe. This will add to Facebook’s 400 employee count in Ireland. The positions range between corporate communications, developer relations user operations, sales, etc.
Richard Bruton, Ireland Minister for jobs, enterprise, and innovation, is excited about Facebook’s expansion there. ?Today?s announcement of a significant expansion by one of the biggest companies on the internet, with the creation of 100 high-end jobs, is a major endorsement of the tech environment in Dublin and further confirmation of our city?s status as the internet capital of Europe,? said Bruton.
Facebook is not the only major tech company expanding their presence in Ireland. eBay announced that they expanded 450 jobs in Ireland last week and PayPal is adding 1,000 positions over a four-year period.
