Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) chief financial officer David Ebersman is leaving the company later this year. Ebersman oversaw Facebook’s IPO, the Instagram acquisition, and the WhatsApp acquisition.
Facebook’s stock had a rocky start, but is now up 60%. Ebersman is likely going to focus on moving back into the healthcare space. Ebersman is going to be replaced by former Zynga CFO David Wehner. Wehner used to be the VP of corporate finance and business planning.
Ebersman will be stepping down from the CFO position on June 1st, but will stick around through September to complete the $2 billion acquisition of Oculus VR.
