Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is reportedly testing out service to buy goods through mobile e-commerce apps, according to AllThingsD.
Facebook will allow users to pay for products using their login credentials, just like PayPal. The pilot will be tested sometime next month and will feature JackThreads.
Many Facebook users have their credit card information stored on Facebook already to buy Facebook Credits and Facebook Gifts.
Those users would be able to use their same stored payment methods to buy products on other services without having to re-enter their credit card information.
