If a Facebook Page asks users to “like this post” or if it shares the same link over and over, it may receive a penalty on the Facebook News Feed. This form of marketing is known as “like-baiting.” Facebook said that if you share unique and interesting content, then your page will be fine.
The way to hit the top of News Feeds is by being widely liked, commented, clicked or shared.
Facebook also penalizes Pages that says a link leads to one thing when it actually goes somewhere else. For example, some Pages will say “check out this photo gallery,” but it links to an e-commerce purchase page instead.
