Facebook users have recently started to notice the “other” folder under the “Messages” section and they are not happy about it, including myself. Facebook just assumes that these messages are not important to you so they do not allow it into your inbox. Does that mean that Facebook considers these messages “spam?” A lot of these messages are sent by events.
This feature is not new, but it recently has seen some attention. A Slate reporter pointed out this Facebook feature after noticing a message from a man who found her lost laptop.
