Officials in Menlo Park have approved of a deal that will allow Facebook to employ thousands of people at their new headquarters. Facebook currently employs 2,200 people in Menlo Park, but city officials will now allow Facebook to employ 6,600 workers on the campus. The previous limit was 3,600. Facebook is going to pay Menlo park around $850,000 per year over a decade to compensate for the additional load to the city. Facebook will also have to make a one-time payment of $1 million for capital improvements and to establish community services. The total size of the deal is $10 million and Facebook is going to create a $500,000 fund to provide grants and charity contributions to local communities.
