Fiat and Chrysler merge to become Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

Posted Jan 29, 2014

As you may have read, Fiat has acquired Chrysler earlier this month. Now we know that the combined company will be called Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and they will be using the logo above. The company is going to list on the NYSE and the Milan index and will be headquartered in the Netherlands.

Fiat’s board of directors announced the new name during a restructuring of the two companies today.

?A new chapter of our story begins with the creation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles,? stated John Elkann, chairman of Fiat, in a statement released Wednesday. ?A journey that started over a decade ago, as Fiat sought to ensure its place in an increasingly complex marketplace, has brought together two organizations each with a great history in the automotive industry and different but complementary geographic strengths.?
