Flurry is a mobile analytics company that has raised $12.5 million in a new round of funding, according to a filing with the SEC. Flurry pivoted a couple of times as they started out as an app developer and then turned into an analytics firm. The company is now using data for advertising purposes. Flurry raised $25 million in Series D funding about a year ago.
There are around 400,000 apps using their analytics services and 20,000 new ones are being added per month. They are tracking activity on about 1.2 billion smartphones and tablets now. Flurry has raised a total of around $62.5 million, but the new investors were unidentified.
Some of Flurry’s previous investors include Menlo Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Crosslink Capital, InterWest Partners, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, and Draper Richards.
