Ford and GM Gives Loan To Australian Supplier Autodom

Posted Nov 6, 2012

Ford Motor Company and General Motors co-signed a $6.5 million loan to help bail-out a supplier in Australian named Autodom.

Autodom has closed plants in two Australian cities last week and was about to cease operations as a whole.  However Ford buys hundreds of parts from Autodom for their Falcon sedan and Territory SUV.

General Motors Holden said that if Autodom closes down, the Commodore sedan and Cruze compact would be halted.  Ford Australia and GM Holden agreed to share debt liabilities equally.
