Earlier this month, Ford Motor Company showcased the Ford Atlas Concept, which is a pickup truck that hints at what future Ford F150s could look like. ?The Ford Atlas Concept previews the innovations that will transform what people expect from their pickup,? stated Ford group vice president of Global Product Development Raj Nair. ?With 36 years as America?s best-selling pickup, we are absolutely committed to setting the agenda in the truck market.?
There are active aerodynamic elements in the grille, front air dam, and wheels to reduce wind resistance, which provides the benefit of saving gas. The Atlas Concept has a Dual-Purpose Tailgate Step that integrates with a roof cradle to become a rack for long objects like a ladder. There are Hidden Cargo Ramps to load ATVs and motorcycles. There Atlas also has Trailer Backup Assist to help with accurate reversing when a trailer is attached through the simple twist of a knob.
