Ford Has Built Their 500,000th EcoBoost Engine

Ford Motor Company has announced today that they have successfully built their 500,000th EcoBoost engine.  It has been around 3 years since they launched the EcoBoost engine.  The 500,000th engine was put into a 2013 Ford Escape that came off the assembly line at the company’s Louisville Assembly plant.  By the end of next month, Ford customers will be able to choose between 8 Ford vehicles that receive over 40MPG.  By 2013, over 90% of Ford’s North American lineup will have an EcoBoost engine.
