Ford Triples The Number Of Dealers To Sell Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles

Posted Nov 12, 2012

Ford Motor Company has tripled the number of dealers that will be selling plug-in hybrid vehicles like the C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid.  There are now around 900 dealers that are either certified or have enrolled for certifications.  Ford’s initial plans was to have around 350 certified dealers by early 2013.

?Ford?s strategy to deliver the power of choice for leading fuel economy across our lineup seems very well timed as our customers and dealers are showing significant interest in vehicles such as the C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid,? stated Ford Electrified Vehicle Marketing Manager C.J. O?Donnell. ?C-MAX Energi joins C-MAX Hybrid to help Ford take on Prius for the first time, with great early signs as the hybrid outsold Prius v in its first full month of sales in October.?
