Former Congresswoman Susan Molinari Being Named Head Of Google D.C. Office

Google Inc. has hired former Rep. Susan Molinari, R-N.Y. to be the head of their lobbying efforts said a company official today. Molinari will also manage government outreach in North and South America as well as D.C. Pablo Chavez will continue to oversee day-to-day operations in the D.C. office. Molinari had served in Congress from 1990 to 1997. Since then she has been working as a consultant at her firm Susan Molinari Strategies. She is replacing Alan Davidson at the top Google advocate in D.C. “She’s a true trailblazer and her enthusiasm for our technology and its potential to change lives will be a real asset to our team in the Americas,” stated Google SVP David Drummond.
