Former Mozilla CEO Gary Kovacs Becomes CEO Of AVG Technologies

Gary Kovacs
recently stepped down as the chief executive officer of Mozilla Corporation.  Now we know that Kovacs has been named as the chief executive officer of security software company AVG Technologies.

Kovacs was interested in joining AVG because it was focusing on expanding in the mobile space recently.  AVG is used by over 150 million people across the globe.  Around 25% of their customers uses AVG’s mobile services, which includes AVG AntiVirus Free for Android.

Kovacs joined Mozilla in October 2010 after working at Sybase and Adobe.  Kovacs will continue to work as a board member at Mozilla.
