FreePriceAlerts Raises $2.5 Million

FreePriceAlerts is a web browser add-on service that helps shoppers save money online.  FreePriceAlert has raised $2.5 million in Series B funding.  This round of funding was led by Nick Grewal and he is now a part of the company’s board of directors.  This round also included 10X Venture Partners.  The company has raised a total of $4 million thus far.  FreePriceAlerts plans on using the funding to increase their engineering staff.  If you have the FreePriceAlerts button installed, you will notice that the service will instantly tell you if there is a better price elsewhere when hovering your mouse above the “Buy” button on  FreePriceAlerts is creating over one million notifications each month, which is equal to around over $250,000 in savings every day.
