General Electric Company (GE) and Quirky partner on smart A/C

Posted Mar 20, 2014

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) and a “maker” startup called Quirky have partnered on a smart air conditioner that looks cool enough to stick in your wall unlike the traditional air conditions that we are used to seeing. The Aros air conditioner is an 8,000 BTU window unit that can be controlled through buttons on the front or through the Quirky Wink mobile app. The Wink mobile app can keep track of how much you spend on energy and gives suggestions for saving money. Aros costs $300.
