General Motors Company started selling the Chevrolet Cruze three years ago and has sold 2 million Cruze vehicles so far in the world. This means that the Cruze is Chevrolet’s best-selling nameplate. The Cruze has played a major role in General Motors’ bottom line since 2009.
Chevrolet’s small cars like the Spark, Sonic, and Volt have seen a 229% increase in sales from the first 6 months of 2012 compared to the first six months of 2013.
?The Cruze is helping bring new consumers to the brand with more than 40 percent of overall Cruze sales in 2013 being from non-GM owners,? stated Chevrolet marketing director of Small Cars and Electrified Vehicles Cristi Landy. ?The Cruze provides the amenities of a larger, more expensive sedan with the efficiency and value of a compact car.?
