General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) has announced that they are recalling 370,000 trucks in North America due to a potential fire risk.
General Motors is recalling a group of 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks in order to reprogram software that could potentially cause the overheating of exhaust, which may result in engine fires.
General Motors identified eight fires that was caused by this issue, but no injuries have been reported. These incidents have occurred in areas that are affected by very cold weather. This recall affects 303,000 vehicles in the U.S. and 67,000 that was exported to Canada and Mexico.
