General Motors will be recalling around 1.5 million vehicles in China to replace a bracket that secures a fuel pump, according to a quality agency in Asia. The recall affects 1.2 million Buick Excelles vehicles made between 2006 and 2012 and 250,000 Chevrolet Sail vehicles made between April 2009 and October 2011. The bracket being replaced were at risk of cracking and causing a fuel leak in extreme cases. This is GM’s second recall in China this year. This past May, the Chinese government recalled 2,653 imported Cadillac SRX SUVs to adjust the nuts on wheels.
