General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) has reported that their October U.S. sales grew nearly 16% as their pick-up trucks and cars bounced back from a rough September. General Motors sold over 226,000 cars and trucks last month, which is up almost 196,000 from a year ago.
The sales of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup increased 10% and the sales of the GMC Sierra pick-up truck grew 13%. GM’s percentage growth surpassed Ford’s 14% gain.
According to auto analysts, the sales of vehicles slowed down during the first two weeks of October partially due to the government shutdown, but it picked up in the second half of the month.
