Google Apps has hit $1 billion in revenue for the search giant in 2012.  According to The Wall Street Journal, Google ?generated around $1 billion from the sale of Google Apps and separate mapping software to businesses and governments.?  Earlier this month we reported that Google Apps will no longer have a free service for businesses going forward, but the users that signed up for the service when it was free will be able to continue using it without paying.  Each new user will have to pay $50 per year.  The good news is that Google will make the fee worth it by providing 24/7 phone service, 25GB inbox storage per user, and other benefits.
