Google CEO: If You Don’t Like Street View, You “Can Just Move” [STAY CLASSY, SCHMIDT]

Posted Oct 25, 2010

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO was on the program Parker Spitzer on CNN last week and he had used an interesting choice of words when it came to what people though about Google Street View. ?Street View, we drive exactly once,? stated Schmidt in referral to the Google Street View cars driving around and take photos. ?So, you can just move, right?? Schmidt added ?This is not a monitoring situation.? Seems like a pretty smug response to a legitimate question. People have privacy concerns when pictures of their houses appear on the Internet.

Perhaps Schmidt could have mentioned that you could fill out a form on Google’s website to opt-out of Street View. I like Google as a company and I think Larry Page and Sergey Brin are amazing entrepreneurs, but I think Schmidt gave an arrogant response here. Do you guys agree with me here? Let me know in the comments. And if you are a fan of funny pictures found on Google Street View, you will like this article. [AllThingsD]
