At the Google I/O conference, Google made several announcements about Google Drive. It now has Google Slides, native Microsoft Office editing, and Drive for Work.
Google Slides now lets Google Drive users create presentations from Android tablets. Google Drive already had presentations, but there is a new way to create slide decks.
With the Microsoft Office editing feature, Office files can be opened, edited, and saved within Drive apps without changing the file type. Google Drive now has “Drive For Work,” which will have unlimited storage and will cost $10 per month per user.
It will have enhanced security as well. Google Drive now has over 190 million users. Seventy-two of the top universities and 58% of Fortune 500 users “have gone Google.”
