Google has started to sell Google Glass again. Last month, Google sold Google Glass for one single day. And yesterday, Google said that the face-mounted device is available to consumers again. Glass was initially only available for developers and then the program was expanded to include non-developers. Early adopters of Google Glass are known as “Google Glass Explorers.”
Google said that Google Glass will remain in the Explorer beta program while tweaks are made to the hardware and software. As long as supplies last, anyone in the U.S. can buy one on Google’s online store. Google Glass sells for $1,500.
Google has a deal with eyewear manufacturer Luxottica, which has a retail network of over 7,000 stores worldwide. Luxottica is going to start selling Google Glass in North America in early 2015.
