On Tuesday, Google announced that it was adding new hardware and software updates to Google Glass. Google Glass will now ship with 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB for better performance. Glass now has an improved way to frame images, including a new viewfinder.
There are more Google Now cards available like a car parking reminder and package delivery notifications. The hardware update will not be free for existing “Glass Explorers” unfortunately.
On Tuesday, Google launched a dozen new Glassware apps and announced a partnership with Diane von Fostenberg for designer Glass frames. Google opened the Glass Explorer “beta” to all users in May.
The Google Glass “Explorer” device costs $1,500. It is unknown when a retail version will arrive in stores.
