Google Search For iOS Now Has Hands-Free Voice Search

Posted Nov 5, 2013

Google Search for iOS has been updated.  Version 3.1 of Google Search for iOS now has Google Now.  The service offers notifications, reminders, and other personalization features.

You can trigger searches bus aging “Ok Google” while the app is open and speak the query.  The iPhone or iPad displays or speaks the right response.

The notifications in the app alerts you with specific items without opening the Google Search app.  You can have Google remind you about appointments, tasks, and news items.

Google Now will also show iOS users cards about movie releases, concert tickets, boarding passes, and traffic information.
