Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Twilio have partnered on a new enterprise communication product called Twilio CX for Chromebook. This service is built into a Google Chromebook that is loaded with the Twilio client, which has the ability to embed VoIP into a website so that users can make phone calls in a browser.
This essentially could become a replacement for call centers. The Chromebook device with Twilio built-in also comes with a Plantronics voice headset and 7,500 Twilio minutes per month.
The system costs $75 per month with an additional fee that will be determined by Twilio’s partners that sells the device to the public. LiveOps is the cloud-based contact launch partner, but the program will expand to other partners.
Twilio released a new offering called Message Delivery Information in late May. This helps users understand why a message they may have sent could have failed.
