Before you buy the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Glasses product for $1,500, you could try-it-at-home as part of a pilot. 9to5Mac posted a screenshot of how it works. Reddit user clide posted an e-mail and photos of the kit he received in the mail from Google Glass as part of a trial that the company has launched.
The e-mail said this:
You will notice that the e-mail encourage him to try out different styles and show family and friends. The Reddit user said that he called Google customer service several times to disclose bits of personal information including billing details and a $50 hold on his credit card. He received a try-on kit with Glass in all frame styles and four colors along with prepaid labels to return it.
On April 15, Google launched a one-day public sale for anyone to buy Google Glass. Google Glass is not commercially available yet and only Google Glass Explorers have the ability to buy them.
