Google Is Suing U.S. Dept Of Interior For Not Considering Google Apps Contract

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is suing the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) for not considering Google Apps for using themas a hosted e-mail and collaboration solution. Google is claiming “unduly restrictive of competition.” The DOI wrote up procurement requires and specifically stated that the software had to be a part of the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite. The contract is worth $59 million and Google believes that the procurement process contract should be more competitive. [Engadget]
