Google Launches Crisis Website For Earthquake and Tsunami In Japan

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the northeast coast of Japan at 2:46pm local time. A tsunami followed shortly after the earthquake and has affected waves hitting the shorelines in Hawaii, California, and Oregon. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) created a crisis response website and application (embedded below) using Google Maps and Appspot. You can see instructions on how to install the application on your website here:
