Google Plans To Acquire Global IP Solutions For $68.2 Million

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has acquired Global IP Solutions for $68.2 million. Global IP Solutions is a San Francisco based company that delivers voice and video through IP networks.

Some of Global IP’s customers include AOL, Yahoo!, and Samsung. Global IP licenses technology to Yahoo! for Yahoo! Messenger. The deal is still pending approval from 90% of Global IP Solutions’ stockholders. Both companies have said that they already have shareholder approval. Google offered a 142% premium to Global IP Solutions’ stock price in January. [paidContent]
