Google has redesigned Google Play. The redesign of Google Play will be rolled out on Android phones and tablets. The new design features bright colors rather than the dark-toned theme that was previously used on Google Play.
As you scroll down Google Play, recommendations will appear. The purchasing feature on Google Play has been updated to make the process of buying content much simpler.
“The new design focuses on bigger images that jump off the page. Similarly themed content is grouped together so you can hone in on a magazine to read or an app to try. As you move down the page, new recommendations continue to appear so there is always more to see and explore. We?ve also simplified purchasing so you can breeze through checkout and get to enjoying your movie rental or other content,” stated Google Play group product manager Michael Siliski.
Google Play launched in March 2012 and replaced Android Market. The name was changed to imply that Google also sells non-application related content such as books, music, and movies.
Android 2.2 and above will see the redesign starting today and it is expected to hit all of these devices within the next few weeks.
