Google Demos Smartshoe At SXSW

At SXSW, Google has showcased a hacked smart-shoe, which will not be commercialized.  The hacked shoe is a pair of Adidas high tops and was customized with gyroscopes, pressure sensors, accelerometers, and a  microphone on the tongue.  The talking shoe gives you feedback based on movements and communicates with your Android smartphone using Bluetooth. 

The hacked shoe is part of Google’s Art, Copy & Code project, which is a line of experiments to re-imagine the world of advertising.  Check out the demo video below:
