Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has acquired fflick for $10 million. Fflick uses Twitter to automatically create movie reviews based on sentiment and recommendations. It is uncertain whether Google is making this acquisition to absorb the talent behind the company or if they are actually interested in fflick’s service. When you sign in to your Twitter account by visiting fflick, it shows you a list of top-ranking movies. Next to the picture of each movie poster, there is a set of tweets that are relevant to the people that you follow on Twitter. You can choose whether you want to view the positive or negative tweets about each movie. fflick was founded by former Digg employees Kurt Wilms, Ron Gorodetzky, Dav Zimak, and Marc Hemeon.
