Google Street View Now Has Photos Of The Large Hadron Collider at CERN

Posted Sep 26, 2013

The CERN Geneva Lab is where Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is set up.  Now you can see photos of the LHC on Google Street View.

The photos of CERN on Google Street View shows the control centers, labs, and underground tunnels, the 7,000 ton ATLAS detector, and ALICE (heavy-ion detector on the LHC ring).

Google worked with CERN for two weeks in 2011 to grab the images.  Google recently captured Street View imagery for the Galapagos Islands, Peru, an Emirates A380, Mount Fuji, and the Eiffel Tower.
