Google Trends gets e-mail notifications

Posted Apr 18, 2014

If you want to stay on top of the latest search trends, you may be happy to hear that Google Trends now has e-mail notifications. Google Trends will let people sign up to be notified by e-mail about the popularity of specified search terms. Google Trends launched in 2006 and has been a great tool for determining what people are looking for.

One of the reasons why Google launched e-mail notifications for Google Trends is because the service does not have an API for mining this kind of data. Google Trends allows users to break down search topics based on countries, U.S. monthly top charts, and “hot searches.”
