Google Voice Search Android App Can Now Associate Your Voice With Your Google Account.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has announced an update to the Google Voice Search application that will let you associate your voice with you Google account. “We built speech models broad enough to accommodate a wide variety of people, regardless of gender, age, and accents, or variations in pitch, pace, and other factors. But we always knew we could build a more accurate model by listening to your voice, and learning how you — as a unique individual — speak. So today we?re launching personalized recognition,” wrote the company in a blog post.

When opting in to personalized recognition, then you can associate the recordings of certain words with your Google account. These words will help build a speech model that is developed for your voice. The accuracy improvements of your Voice Search app will build over time.

If you want to disassociate your voice with the Google Voice Search application, all of you have to is go into the Speech section on your Google Dashboard. The application currently works only in the English language in the U.S. The Google Voice Search team plans to expand to new languages sometime in the near future.
