Microsoft Office is one of Microsoft’s largest revenue generator products. Microsoft invests heavily into the software to make sure that consumers and enterprises find it easier to work with. Google created their own suite of Office-like products a few years ago and they have been able to successfully poach some of Microsoft’s enterprise customers. Google is saying that in 2013, they want to take around 90% of Office users away from Microsoft.
?Our goal is to get to the 90 percent of users who don?t need to have the most advanced features of Office,? stated Google VP and head of Google Enterprise Amit Singh. Google wants to win customers away from Microsoft Office that use the software for basic functionality. Google is constantly adding features and improvements to their services.
